COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A sex crime suspect accused in a case in the spring of this year allegedly involving a minor female was arrested over the weekend at the Branch County Fairgrounds. 37-year old Jason Dalchow of Coldwater was taken into custody Saturday evening by the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
Dalchow has been charged with children accosting for immoral purposes victim under the age of 16. He was also arraigned yesterday on a Coldwater City Police warrant for failure to appear for driving with a suspended license.
A corrections officer at the Branch County Jail said the children accosting warrant requested by Michigan State Police indicated the alleged crime happened on or about March 27, 2017 in Quincy Township.
It appears Dalchow won’t be a free man for some time to come. According to the Branch County Jail intake record, Dalchow’s arraignment Monday in Branch County District Court included reinstatement of sentences previously suspended. Those cases included a 242 day sentence in 2016 for possession of marijuana. The other suspension was 25 days in 2015 for a drug sentence.
Dalchow is due back in Branch County District Court for a probable cause hearing August 22 with a preliminary exam scheduled for August 29, 2017.
