LAKE JAMES, IN (WTVB) – An Ohio man suffered a severely lacerated arm Sunday afternoon in a Steuben County boating accident.
Indiana Conservation Officers say 24-year-old Jacob Mossberg was being pulled on a tube on in the first basin of Lake James when his arm became entangled in the tow rope.
A nearby pontoon boat pulled Mossburg into the boat, provided him with first aid, and took him to shore where he was met and treated by Steuben County EMS and the Angola Fire Department.
Mossburg was then taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne for treatment of his injury.
Indiana Conservation Officers were also assisted by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department and Steuben County Communications.
