CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department SCAN unit has had a busy week as they have arrested six persons in a pair of investigations.
Three were arrested on Tuesday as part of a year-long investigation into a Constantine Township residence. Tipsters told SCAN investigators that narcotics were being distributed at the house.
After seeing a vehicle leave the house, investigators stopped it and arrested three persons. Taken into custody on drug and weapon charges were 52-year-old Rickey Knotts of White Pigeon and 45-year-old Robert Holcomb of Constantine.
Meanwhile, 31-year-old Valurie Mettler from the Burr Oak area was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and frequenting a drug house.
Stolen weapons were recovered during the traffic stop and that led to the arrest of three White Pigeon residents at another home. The second bust took place at a home on U.S. 12. Investigators say it was the second time in four months a search warrant was executed there.
The Sheriff’s Department says investigators were able to recover methamphetamine and two stolen firearms along with numerous items for the use and distribution of meth.
