COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Sue Nagle Help From Above Golf Ball Drop to benefit the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence will be held Saturday at the Coldwater Golf Course.
Organizer Dave Nagle says there will be a different twist this year, as the golf balls will be dropped from a hot air balloon instead of a helicopter. Last year, the helicopter could not make the event due to mechanical problems.
Tickets for the Golf Ball Drop have been sold for $10.
Other activities including a putting contest will start at around 2:00 p.m. Saturday. There will also be raffle and 50/50 drawings. The Golf Ball Drop is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The ball closest to the hole wins $1,000, second prize is $750. The ball furthest from the hole wins $250.
