BRONSON, MI (WTVB) -A Bronson Township man is facing multiple gun and drug counts after being arrested in the City of Bronson this past weekend. 29-year old Ryan Gump was taken into custody early Saturday morning following a traffic stop in a local convenience store parking lot.
A news release issued by Bronson Deputy Police Chief Brad McConn said two officers spotted what they believed to be suspicious drug activity in the parking lot and found that Gump was unlawfully transporting firearms and was in possession of methamphetamine as well as numerous handguns and rifles.
Bronson Police were assisted at the scene by Michigan State Police.
Gump was arraigned Monday in Branch County District Court on six felony counts and remains in the county jail being held on a $35,000 cash or surety bond. His next court date for a probable cause hearing is September 7, 2017.
