COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners approved a quote not to exceed $10,000 Tuesday for work at the main entrance to the county courthouse. Northern Industrial plans to resurface the main entrance due to water pooling in front of the door.
County Administrator Bud Norman said the work is scheduled to start Thursday night and be finished by the end of the weekend. It’s hoped the entrance will be available to the public on Monday. If not, the south entrance will be utilized.
In other business, the Commissioners formally approved a $15,000 allocation to the Airport Board to help the Branch County Airport get through the rest of this year.
Four vacancies on the Airport Zoning Board of Appeals were also filled. Named to the board were Thomas Miller, Scott Kirkpatrick, Duane Clover and Tom Fisher. Clover and Fisher’s terms expire at the end of this year, Kirkpatrick’s term expires at the end of 2018 while Miller will serve until the end of 2019.
