BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school volleyball, Class C top ranked Bronson swept past Union City Tuesday night 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-11).
Emma White and Bracy Swift both had eight digs for the Chargers. Swift also had three kills. Statistics for the Vikings were not provided.
Also in volleyball, Jonesville topped Quincy 3-0 (10-25, 21-25, 22-25).

The Coldwater 8th grade A team opened their season with a 25-21 25-16 victory at Harper Creek. Brooke Moore had 9 points, 2 aces and 5 kills. Brynn Babcock had 6 points and 5 assists. Alyssa Wilson had 9 points, Allison Miller had 5 kills, Jayla Foster had 4 points and Mallory Wilbur recorded 4 digs. Coldwater will host Lumen Christi Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the high school.
The Coldwater 8th grade B team opened their season with a big win over Harper Creek 25-11 and 25-12. Bethany Pavlov led Coldwater with 8 aces while Kylee Granger added 5.
The Coldwater 7th grade B team opened their season with a 25-15, 25-12 victory at Harper Creek. Abigail Jones led the team with 8 points while Paige Lawson and Brooke Hudson each added 4 points.
