COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District will not have to borrow money for cash flow purposes once again this year.
Business Manager Diane Shiery told the B.I.S.D. Board Wednesday she made that determination after analyzing the special education cash flow.
It’s the fourth straight year the district has not had to borrow money. The first state aid payment for the district is scheduled to arrive October 20, 2017.
Shiery also told the board that a capital improvement project to improve lighting at the Branch Area Career Center has been delayed due to Hurricane Harvey.
With materials coming later than expected, work on the lights is now scheduled to start in early October. The boiler and domestic water heater replacement work is also scheduled to take place next month. The bond sale for the Career Center capital improvement project is set for
