COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater hosted 14 teams on Friday in their annual golf invitational. Coldwater finished in 4th place firing a team score of 370. St. Joe won the event with a 358 followed by Jackson Lumen Christi at 368 and Hackett Catholic Prep who shot a 369.Coldwater’s varsity was led by Claire Sheppard who shot a 91 followed by Kelly Warner who had a 92, Jayla Goodwin shot a 93, Hunter Jenkot carded at 94 and Molly Smith rounded out the varsity scoring with a 104.
Coldwater’s JV team finished in 13th place in the event, led by Micki Slack and Ryleigh Collins who each shot 111’s, followed by Elloree Madded with a 115, Alexis Musselman shot a 116, Morgan Beckhusen carded a 117, Diona Kashian had a 120, Melissa Vozar shot 134, and Avery Volkmer rounded out the JV scoring with a 147.
HIGH SCHOOL BOYS TENNIS
Coldwater picked up an 8-0 win at Pennfield in a contest that was rescheduled from Wednesday.
On today’s schedule: In volleyball, Coldwater and Bronson are at the Portage Northern Huskie Invitational. In boys soccer, Coldwater hosts Sturgis this morning at Cardinal Field. In cross country, Bronson runs at the Holly Invitational while Union City is at the Mendon Invitational. And in girls swimming, Coldwater is at the Battle Creek Central Invitational.
