EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s Shuaib Aljabaly won the High School Boys Spartan Elite race at the Spartan Invitational, held at MSU’s Forest Akers East Golf Course. His time of 15:28.1 was 1.1 seconds faster than 2nd place Gabriel Model of Novi and 1.2 seconds faster than 3rd place Tom Oates of Chelsea.
As a team, the Cardinals finished 34th in the HS Boys Spartan Elite race and 38th in the HS Girls Spartan Elite race. Kyle Foulk placed 179th, Ayash Ahmed 190th, Jose Blankenship 234th, and Adam Bailey 244th for the boys. Kathy Potter finished 96th to lead the Lady Cards, while Elka Machan was 112th, Samantha Peiffer 268th, Cece DeWitt 274th, and Ericka Parkinson 294th.
