COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Union City man was given two lengthy prison sentences Monday in Branch County Circuit Court for sex crimes against young children.
51-year-old Tony Lee Zongker entered no contest pleas in July 2017 to two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct.
He was given a sentence of 15 to 40 years in one case and a term of 18 to 40 years in the second case.
Zongker was given credit for 206 days already served in jail.
As part of the plea agreement, a third charge of first degree C.S.C. against Zongker was dismissed by prosecutors.
Zongker was arrested last February following a Michigan State Police investigation.
According to court documents, the crimes took place between 2010 and 2014 in the Village of Sherwood. Court records also indicate the victims were two young children. One was under 13 years old, the other was between 13 and 16.
