COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Fremont, Indiana man entered guilty pleas to a pair of charges in Branch County Circuit Court Monday after he was arrested on seven charges last month for an alleged computer sex crime.
19-year-old Noah Stempien is scheduled to be sentenced November 6, 2017 after admitting his guilt to charges of using a computer to commit a crime and fourth degree criminal sexual conduct.
Five other charges will be dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for the guilty pleas.
Stempien was arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation into alleged crimes in Ovid Township between June 2016 and the end of last year.
Charges that will be dismissed include third degree criminal sexual conduct with a female victim between the ages of 13 and 16, possession of sexually abusive material and possession of marijuana.
