RICHLAND, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater High School qualified for the MHSAA Division Two Girls Golf State Finals Thursday by finishing in second place in the Regional Tournament hosted by Gull Lake at Stonehedge North.
St. Joseph won the event with a score of 343 followed by Coldwater’s 358. The other qualifier for the state tournament was Battle Creek Lakeview as they finished third with a 363.
Coldwater was led by Claire Sheppard, whose 84 was good enough to make the All Regional Team with a fourth place finish. Jayla Goodwin had an 88, Hunter Jenkot shot a 90, Kelly Warner carded a 96 and Molly Smith rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with a 104.
Coldwater will compete in the Division Two MHSAA State Finals at the Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21.
