COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School varsity swim and dive team beat Charlotte 101-71 as they had their Fight the Fight, Find the Cure cancer fundraiser meet Thursday. It was also senior night where the Cards recognized Sara Hickey, Sarah Hughes, Brooke Neitzert, and Kenydee Otto.
The Cardinals had 23 personal best swims Thursday. Finishing first for the Cards were Jayda Kelly in the 100 Freestyle, Kory Ulrich in the 500 Freestyle, Makinzie Groves in the 100 Backstroke, Kenydee Otto in the 50 Freestyle, Mae Blansit in the 200 Freestyle, Mia Rzepka in the 1 meter diving, and Emilee Smoker in the 100 Breaststroke.
Also the relay team of Jayda Kelly, Kory Ulrich, Makinzie Groves and Kenydee Otto finished first in all 3 relays.
The Coldwater girls finish out their regular season next Saturday at Harper Creek.

MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL—
The Legg Middle School 8th grade A girls volleyball team hosted Jackson Northwest and won 2-0 (25-17 25-22). Allison Miller led on the serving line with 9 points; McKenna Stewart 7 points; Jayla Foster 5 points. Mallory Wilber led with 4 kills; Masyn Marsh, Brynn Babcock, Brooke Moore each had 2 kills.

The Legg Middle School 8th grade B girls volleyball team defeated Northwest Thursday night 2-0 (25-8, 25-22). Leading the Cardinals was Bethany Pavlov who was 21 of 23 at the serving line with nine aces one kill and one dig. Trish Pike was 13 of 15 at the serving line with five aces and two kills. Jadazay Ledbetter added two aces.
The teams will play next at the LMS Invitational this Saturday at Coldwater High School.
