COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors officially named Jeff Budd as the utility’s director during their monthly meeting Tuesday.
He will assume the director duties from Paul Beckhusen, who is becoming the General Manager of the Michigan South Central Power Agency. Beckhusen takes over for Glen White, who is retiring at the end of this month.
Budd was the Coldwater City Manager for seven years before joining the CBPU as Assistant Director last January.
Also during Tuesday’s meeting, Budd said the recent household hazardous collection day that the CBPU hosted was a success, as over 26,700 pounds of materials were collected. That was about 100 pounds less than the amount collected in 2016.
Last year’s collection was the highest amount of materials collected since 2009.
