COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A suspect whose named has been linked to a significant number of breaking and entering incidents and property thefts entered guilty pleas to three charges Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
29-year-old Joshua Tyler Martin admitted his guilt to charges of fleeing from a police officer fourth offense, receiving and concealing stolen property over $1,000 but less than $20,000 and third degree home invasion.
All other current and pending charges would be dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for the guilty pleas. Sentencing has been scheduled for January 8th.
Martin was apprehended March 31, 2017 by the Branch County Sheriff’s Department following a vehicle and foot pursuit in Kinderhook Township.
He continues to be held in the Branch County Jail.
Branch County Sheriff John Pollack said at the time of Martin’s arrest that thousands of dollars worth of property had been recovered and that the crimes may have covered three states.
According to Indiana online court records, Martin was free on bond at the time of his arrest after he was charged with breaking and entering in Steuben County.
