ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A fire which broke out just after midnight Monday morning at Precision Technologies in Angola is under investigation.
It took firefighters about an hour to get the fire at the business on Industrial Drive under control.
One firefighter was injured and taken to Cameron Hospital for treatment.
Crews were on the scene for over four hours.
Angola Fire Department Public Information Officer T.R. Hagerty says an Angola Police officer smelled smoke, went to the building and discovered heavy fire coming through the roof.
The fire was contained in the office area of the building and the front part of the manufacturing area. The main manufacturing area received heat and water damage but it’s believed that the manufacturing equipment can be saved.
About 50,000 gallons of water had to be used to put out the fire.Firefighters from five other Steuben County departments assisted Angola crews.
