COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Office annual Shop With A Cop program recently got a financial boost.
Sheriff John Pollack accepted a check for over $4,200 on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence Shelter House.
The donated funds will be used for the Sheriff’s annual Shop with a Cop program which will be held this year December 7, 2017 at the Coldwater Wal-Mart.
The Lakeland Correctional Facility Employees Club organizes and holds an annual golf outing with the proceeds collected ear marked for the Shop with a Cop program.
Children selected for the program this year will be treated to dinner after which they will ride in police cars and fire trucks to the Wal-Mart on East Chicago to shop with local law enforcement, correctional staff, and firefighters.
Each child will be able to shop for their family, the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, and themselves.
