COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch ISD Board of Education selected Michigan Leadership Institute on Wednesday to conduct the search for a new Superintendent.
Current Superintendent Joe Lopez announced last month he will be retiring next July after 36 years in education including the last six as BISD Superintendent.
The board selected MLI after interviewing their representatives as well as representatives from the Michigan Association of School Boards.
MLI says they have been operating since 1999 and they have successfully completed over 350 superintendent searches.
They said in their presentation that their search for the successful candidate usually lasts for three months.
MLI will conduct the search process for a $7,500 fee plus direct expenses not to exceed $1,000.
