COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – If there are no gas spikes over the next few days, AAA of Michigan says drivers in the state will be paying on average 51 cents more per gallon for gas than they did last Thanksgiving.
The auto club says gas prices have dropped 11-cents on average in the last week to $2.63.
Around the city of Coldwater, gas prices ranged from $2.64 to $2.65 per gallon Monday morning.
AAA spokesperson Susan Hiltz says it doesn’t appear to be discouraging anyone from traveling over thanksgiving, they project it will be the highest in a decade.
Trilby Lundberg says the national average stands at $2.61 per gallon.
AAA says the Midwest is currently posting some of the lowest inventories of gas registered since the fall of 2014.
