COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Branch County Circuit Court plea hearing has been scheduled for December 4, 2017 for a Coldwater teenager who has been charged in connection with alleged computer sex crimes involving minors and for the alleged sexual assaults of a juvenile female.
18-year old Shane William Watson is facing seven charges, including three counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct.
He indicated during a pretrial conference Monday he would be willing to enter into a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Watson originally faced three charges, but four additional charges were filed by prosecutors after he allegedly had a sexual encounter with the 13-year-old girl from the original case while he was out on bond.
The arrests came following Coldwater Police Department investigations.
