UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Saturday will be a busy day in Union City.
An open house at the new Ivan Boynton Municipal Building will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Union City Village Office and Police Department moved into their new location last month.
Residents will be able to tour the new offices during the open house. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 p.m. Ivan Boynton is scheduled to attend and do the honors. He and his wife Jan donated $100,000 to the village for the new building.
The Open House is being coordinated with Small Business Saturday and the annual Santa Parade in Union City.
The parade will step off at 7:00 p.m. from Robbins Auto and end at High Street.
Santa Claus will be in the lobby of Southern Michigan Bank & Trust following the parade. For a donation of a non-perishable food item, children can have their picture taken with Santa.
