COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council Monday night approved a request from Department of Muncipal Services Director Dave Sattler to buy a multi-use tractor and accessories for just under $55,000.
Sattler said the Ventrac tractor system can perform multiple tasks such as snow blowing, mowing and clearing leaves. It can also be used year round.
The tractor itself costs about $22,800.
Three bids were submitted and the bid approved was the lowest of the three.
2017 budgeted funds of $14,000 that were originally intended to be used for the purchase of a mower, plus $40,000 from the 2018 budget, will be used to pay for the equipment and accessories.
