COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A projected operating budget for 2018 was approved Monday night by the Community Health Center of Branch County Board of Trustees.
Chief Financial Officer Connie Downs said the next year will be a time of transformation for the healthcare industry as uncertainty remains about legislation that may modify or replace the Affordable Care Act.
Downs said they included an estimate of nearly $715,000 in cost reductions related to staffing and contract services as well as supply cost reductions.
She pointed out the hospital has benefited from the recent economic growth in Branch County. Downs said the budget was fair and reasonable given the uncertainty of the next year.
