STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – A man is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail on several felony charges after he allegedly shot another man who is being described as an old Sturgis High School friend.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Bradley Balk says the shooting took place early Tuesday morning after a night of arguing and disagreement.
What sparked the disagreement is not known. Deputies were dispatched to the 67000 block of Shimmel Road on a complaint about a shooting and discovered that a 29-year-old apparently shot a 30-year-old.
Despite his wound, the victim managed to drive himself to the Emergency Room at Sturgis Hospital.The younger man is being held pending an arraignment.
