COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – When work begins on replacing the roof of the Branch Area Careers Center, the Branch Intermediate School District will be keeping a close eye on the contractor.
The BISD Board of Trustees decided Wednesday to use a part-time observer during the course of a roof project at the Branch Area Careers Center.
Master Tech would perform the work for 29 working days at a cost not to exceed $19,575. Having a full time observer would have cost nearly $17,000 more.
The board last month approved having Tower-Pinkster Architects and Engineers provide the drawings and specifications so that the district can bid out the replacement of the roof.
The bids are expected go out sometime after the holidays.
One of the part of the roof had to replaced following last March’s wind storm. The entire project is expected to cost about $600,000.
