QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Jeremy Burch is officially the Chief of the Quincy Police Department. The Quincy Village Council approved his promotion Tuesday night.
Burch has been with the Quincy Police Department since March 2013, which is when the department was reinstated.
He was named the interim chief last month when Village Manager Eric Zuzga announced the resignation of Scott Olney as Police Chief.
Burch has been in law enforcement for 10 years. Burch at one time worked for the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
Zuzga says they promoted from within as the Chief’s job was not posted.
