BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Even though he is retiring as Superintendent of the Branch Intermediate School District next year, Joe Lopez will be staying active in the educational field, as he joins The Kellogg Community College Foundation Board of Directors.
Lopez is the superintendent of the Branch Intermediate School District and has also been superintendent, high school principal and middle school principal for Quincy Community Schools. Over the past 25 years he has served on numerous organizational boards including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Great Start Collaborative and Domestic Violence/Shelter House.
In addition to Vette, Lopez joins current board members Jill Booth, Steve Claywell, Matt Davis, Vivian Davis, John Dilworth, Adam Dingwall, Eric Greene, Dr. John J. H. Schwarz, Andrew Schweitzer, Richard Scott, Chad Smith, Erick Stewart and Catherine Yates. KCC President Mark O’Connell serves as president of the KCC Foundation.
The KCC Foundation was founded in 1998 by the College to seek private funding to assist students with various needs. A nongovernmental, nonprofit 501(c)(3) with its own funds, the KCC Foundation is managed by a volunteer board of directors.
