CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – A 49-year-old Constantine man was killed Saturday afternoon when his car lost control and struck a tree in St. Joseph County’s Constantine Township.
Michigan State Police say the accident happened on Youngs Prairie Road near New England Road at about 4:15 p.m.

The two vehicles did not strike each other before the accident.
The Camero lost control and went into a ditch. The driver was not injured. It initially left the scene but returned a short time later.
As of late Saturday night, the fatal victim’s name had not been released by the State Police as relatives were still being notified. The matter is still under investigation.
