CONNSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police have released the names of the two people who were involved in a fatal traffic accident in St. Joseph County on Saturday afternoon.
The fatal victim has been identified as 49-year-old Glenn O’Neal Greene Junior of Constantine.
He was killed when his car lost control on Youngs Prairie Road near New England Road and struck a tree.
Troopers say the accident happened as Greene’s 2003 Chevy Malibu was being passed by a 1993 Camero which was driven by 37-year-old Ricky Allen Surdick Junior of Three Rivers.
The two vehicles did not strike each other before the accident according to the State Police.
The Camero lost control and went into a ditch. Surdick was not injured. Troopers say he initially left the scene but returned a short time later.
Greene was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
