COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A new type of television service will officially be available to customers of the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities January 9, 2018. The Coldwater City Council Wednesday officially approved rates proposed by the CBPU for the new high definition cable television service.
Skitter, Incorporated, which provides cable TV service through independent telecommunications companies. The content from Skitter will be delivered in the form of data instead of an analog signal, and a box will be needed for TV sets.
According to CBPU officials, the city’s old analog system prevented the addition of new content.
According to a press release issued by the city, Skitter provides television services to subscribers in multiple states, through a network of cable systems primarily situated at independent telephone companies, mainly in rural areas.
Skitter offers national, local, and regional cable channels, as well as premium movie channels.
