COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Ted Gordon was once again named as chair of the Branch County Board of Commissioners during the commissioner’s organizational meeting for 2018 on Tuesday.
Commissioners also decided to keep Terri Norris as the Vice Chair.
Commissioners will keep meeting on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 4:00 p.m. and work sessions will continue to be held on the previous Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.
Commissioners agreed to take a look at board rules during their next work session on Thursday concerning the role of the Board Chair during meetings. Norris felt the Chair should take a less active role unless there is a tie vote.
Commissioner liaison assignments will stay the same as in 2017. The one exception will be the hospital liaison.
Since ProMedica of Toledo has taken over control of the former Community Health Center of Branch County, it is no longer needed.
