COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater woman charged last month with possession of meth and assaulting a police officer is back behind bars after being freed 2 weeks ago because of overcrowding at the Branch County jail.
Yesterday afternoon, 33-year old Nichole Combs was taken into custody at the Branch County Courthouse where, according to a Corrections Officer, she failed a drug test which was part of the conditional terms of her release from jail December 20, 2017. The failed test resulted in Combs $35,000 bond being revoked.
Combs was originally arrested December 9, 2017 during a drug bust at a local motel where she allegedly scuffled with officers when they attempted to take her into custody during the incident at the Coldwater Inn and Suites on Orleans Boulevard.
Combs is scheduled to appear for a Circuit Court pre-trial conference January 29, 2018.
