LAGRANGE COUNTY, IN (WTVB)- Two Angola men were arrested on the Indiana Toll Road in LaGrange County last Thursday after police found drugs and $800 in cash in their broken county vehicle.
55-year-old Scott Fraley was booked on six counts including dealing methamphetamine and being in possession of meth and marijuana.
The driver, 41-year-old Erin Kaiser, was charged with driving with a suspended license.
Indiana State Police say a trooper checked with the two occupants of the broken down vehicle and told them to sit in his patrol vehicle to get out of the frigid cold since it was six below zero.
His suspicions were heightened when the occupants refused his offer and indicated they would wait 45 minutes in their cold vehicle for the tow truck.
A LaGrange County Sheriff Department K-9 was summoned to conduct an open air sniff around the vehicle.
The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, a plant-like material believed to be marijuana, ecstasy, heroin, prescription pills, a syringe and other items commonly associated with the use and dealing of narcotics. Over 800 in U.S. currency was also located.
