MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Six Coldwater High School bowlers earned medals this past Saturday at a Scotch Doubles tournament hosted by Marshall. The format is one boy and one girl per team. Earning medals were Alysia VanWormer, Tiffanie Corwin and Noella Keplinger for the girls and Brandon Rifenburgh, Kaleb Champion and Logan Junnaman for the boys.
The team of VanWormer and Rifenburgh beat a Sturgis team 204-163 and a Marshall team 200-114 to finish in third place overall.
Coldwater will begin Interstate 8 competition with a home match against Marshall on Tuesday at Midway Lanes starting at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, they travel to Airport Lanes for a meet against Jackson Northwest.
Friday, they are traveling to Sturgis for a non-conference match. Then Sunday, Coldwater will participate in a Baker tournament at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek.
