COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The wait is finally over. Branch County’s first baby of 2018 has arrived at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
Hospital officials said on Tuesday that Thomson Allen Swan arrived Monday morning at 8:19 a,m. to Twila and Andrew Swan.
Thomson weighed seven pounds, six ounces and was 19 inches long.
He has two big brothers, eight-year-old Michael and one-year-old Eric.
Thomson was not only the first baby born in Branch County in 2018, but also the first baby born at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
For having the first baby of 2018, the parents will receive a gift basket with a number of prizes.
While it took over a week for Branch County’s first baby to arrive, the first baby of 2017 arrived just three days into the new year.
