BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – As Bronson High School Athletic Director and girls volleyball coach Jean LeClair continues her fight against cancer, schools in the Big 8 Conference are coming to her aid.
Each conference school will be participating in Hat Day this Friday.
Each student will pay $1 to wear a hat in school for the day. The proceeds will go to LeClair, who has been in the hospital since December 7, 2017.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page started last month by Bronson girls basketball coach Tony Lasky has raised almost $10,000 to help cover LeClair’s medical expenses.
LeClair has been diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. It is an aggressive form of leukemia but treatable. This is her second bout with cancer in the last 4 years.
