COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Friday’s entire slate of Branch County high school basketball games was scrubbed because of the wintry mix which led to slick driving conditions and the cancellation of school throughout the county earlier in the day.
All of the girls/boys doubleheaders with Coldwater at Harper Creek, Bronson at Jonesville, Quincy at Springport and Union City at Concord were called off at midday.
No make up dates have been announced for the Coldwater and Bronson games. The Union City-Concord twin bill has been rescheduled for Saturday afternoon with the girls game at 3:00 p.m. and the boys game at 4:30 p.m.. The Orioles doubleheader at Springport was rescheduled for February 19th.
Just about all of the other games in the area were wiped out by the bad weather of Friday but games were played as scheduled in Centreville and Three Rivers

Coldwater finished seventh in the first Interstate 8 competition of the season Wednesday night at Hastings. The host Saxons won the meet by 15 points over Pennfield. Parma Western was third.
