COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A good portion of southern lower Michigan and northern Indiana is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 7:00 p.m. Monday due to more snow moving into the region. In issuing the advisory, the National Weather Service says a total of 2 to 4 inches of snow can be expected by the end of the day Monday.
Additional lake effect accumulations are expected Monday night into Tuesday near Lake Michigan.
This latest blast of snow will come on a day when there will be fewer cars on the road anyway, with the observance of the Martin Luther King Jr holiday closing some governmental offices. In addition, many schools in Branch County don’t have classes on Monday due to a teacher in-service day.
