COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After serving as the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director since April 2014, Nichole Steel has submitted her resignation to the Chamber Board of Directors.
Chamber Board President Quinn White says Steel is leaving after accepting a new position in the Holland area.
Her formal letter stating her intentions was submitted to the Board last Friday. Steel’s last day with the Chamber will be February 2, 2018 and she has agreed to assist with the transition.
Steel said in her letter that “it is with sadness that I leave a role where I have worked with such an amazing and supportive team. I have sincerely enjoyed serving this community.”
White says they are sad to see Steel go as “she was an integral part in the revitalization of the chamber, but we wish her well on her new endeavors.” White adds they are “coordinating the recruiting process now and we feel confident that the chamber will persevere because of the solid foundation that has already been established.”
With the Executive Director’s position opening up early next month, the Chamber Executive Committee plans to meet sometime in the next few days to go over future plans and options.
