COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Branch County man accused of hitting another man with a baseball bat is behind bars on a charge of felonious assault with a dangerous weapon.
28-year old Samuel Kramer, who lives in the southeast side of the county on Brown Road in Algansee Township, was arraigned yesterday in Branch County District Court. In addition to the alleged assault, Kramer faces a charge of malicious destruction of property, $200 or less after a car window was damaged.
The reported incident occurred October 2, 2017 at the suspect’s house and was investigated by Michigan State Police, with a warrant issued December 21, 2017.
Kramer, who was arrested at his residence Friday, is being held on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He’s due back in Branch County District Court for a probable cause hearing January 25, 2018.
