BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A teacher at Ryan Elementary School in Bronson has been nominated for a national award.
Third grade teacher Amy Harris is up for for the 2017-2018 national LifeChanger of the Year award after being nominated by Ryan Principal Mark Heifner.
The LifeChanger of the Year award recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the country who are making a difference in the lives of students.
Harris is very active in Bronson. She coaches third grade and sixth grade basketball, directs the Junior Bronson Softball League, and takes part in her local church activities.
LifeChanger of the Year gets hundreds of nominations each year. Seventeen individuals around the United States will be chosen during this school year to receive LifeChanger of the Year awards.
The Grand Prize winner will get $10,000 which will be shared with their school district
The finalists will also be honored at a national awards ceremony this spring in Bermuda, where the Grand Prize Winner will be revealed.
