COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Consultant Bob Harris presented 17 growth initiatives for the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board to consider during his latest update for the DDA board Wednesday morning.
Harris says the projects are designed to initiate the revitalization of the Coldwater Central Business District over the next couple of years.
He was blunt about what he felt was a lack of downtown development over the last three decades, saying it’s been subject to neglect because of the number of leaky roofs.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker said the DDA board will have to make a decision during a workshop if they wanted to move forward with Harris’ findings.
The three hour workshop would review recent accomplishments and challenges as well as Harris’ research.
An earlier timeline calls for a plan being implemented in April. Harris is a retired Chief Executive Officer for the Alliance Foods Group.
