BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – High water has forced some Branch County roads to shut down.
Nearly two inches of rain has fallen over the last couple of days. Temperatures near 60 degrees have also caused the 14 inch snowfall from February 9 to melt away, which has added to the flooding problem.
The Branch County Road Commission reported on Tuesday the following roads were among those closed until further notice:
Ray-Quincy Road from Central to Wildwood
Fisher Road east of Stringtown Road
Gower Road east of Burlington Road and west of Olds Road
South Road near Checklich Road
Fiske Road near Mason Road
Water was reported to be over the road on Williowbrook Road at Schaeffer Drive, and on Batavia Road just south of US 12. Drivers are being urged to use caution and to not drive through high water areas.
