JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, Coldwater got all they could handle from last place Lumen Christi before they used a 14-2 final quarter to win 46-33. Tyler Scheid led the Cardinals with 21 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Jamie Wellet added seven points and Jasmine Wellet had two points and five steals, all in the decisive fourth quarter.
Coldwater improves to 17-2 and 11-2 in conference play. They remain one game back of Jackson Northwest in the Interstate 8 Conference, after Northwest beat Pennfield last night.
Coldwater also won the J.V. game over Lumen Christi 29-12 as they improved to 11-7. Bailey Burkhardt led Coldwater with a double double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Autumn Sunderland had six points while Taylor Wilber had four points.
