COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With over three incjhes of rain over the last 24 hours, as well as extensive snow melt-off, high water has made a number of roads in the area unpassable. The Branch County Road Commission has announced about a dozen road closings. Closed until further notice are:…
Hollow Road (Taggart to Hiska)
South Road (Checklich to Village of Union City)
Gorbell Road (Jonesville to Bidwell).
Wattles Road (Ladyman to Athens)
Fisher Road (Ray Quincy to Hillsdale County)
Willowbrook (Tanner Run to Dorrance)
Marshall (Newton to Jonesville)
Kelly Road (Brown to Lester)
Central Road (Smith to Behnke).
Wildwood Road at the intersection on the east side of Ray Quincy.
Lester Road (Phillips to Kelley)
Lindsey Road between Jonesville and Bidwell Roads
The Road Commission says only residents that live on the closed sections are legally allowed to go around any road closed barricade.
They add that the roads which are closed will stay that way until the flood water subsides and any necessary repairs are made.
