COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School “Stick It For a Cure” gymnastics meet which was called off on February 10 due to bad weather will be held this evening at 5:30 p.m. in the high school Auxiliary Gymnasium. While the silent auction was held last Friday, items will still be raffled off this evening.
Coldwater finished in a tie for fourth place with Parma Western following last Saturday’s South Central Gymnastics League Championship meet.
Earning All-Conference Academic awards were Jordan Clemens-Savage, Elise Leggett, Erica Rodgers, Claire Sheppard, Molly Smith and Kelani Phillip.
Brooke Neitzert earned All Conference honors with a seventh place finish on the balance beam. All Conference were also earned by Rodgers on the uneven bar and by Sheppard in the floor exercise.
Coldwater dropped a dual meet against Angola on Monday night 100.6 to 91.35 in the Battle of the Border. The scoring of gymnastics competitions varies in Indiana and a team score is derived using only three gymnasts per event, compared to Michigan’s four per event. Sarah Hughes finished fourth place in All-Around while Brooke Neitzert was fifth and Claire Sheppard was sixth.
