COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Union City Superintendent Patrick Kreger is among the four finalists to be the next Superintendent of the Branch Intermediate School District.
The BISD Board of Trustees met in closed session on Wednesday to review applications from 15 candidates for the job which needs to be filled with current Superintendent Joe Lopez retiring in July.
Besides Kreger, the other finalists are Calhoun County ISD Assistant Superintendent Kristine Jenkins, Kalkaska Schools Superintendent Karen Sherwood and Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD Assistant Superintendent Nick Steinmetz.
The first round of interviews will take place next week.
Sherwood and Steinmetz will be interviewed on Monday with interviews for Kreger and Jenkins scheduled for Tuesday. The interviews will be open to the public starting at 4:00 p.m. each day.
A second round of interviews will take place the following week.
The Michigan Leadership Institute is assisting the BISD Board during the Superintendents search.
