COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners is scheduled Tuesday afternoon to take formal action on the sale of the county-owned Ray Park.
One bid has been submitted by a local farmer and the Branch County Parks Board has recommended the county sell the small park for $9,100.
Commissioner Don Vrablic said during last Thursday’s work session that the property was up for sale at another time two years ago. Some residents in California Township said they would maintain it but that lasted for about a month.
Commissioner Randall Hazelbaker said there was no future use for the property by the county.
