QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A section of Fisher Road which had to be shut down last week when it was washed out by the high water is scheduled to reopen Tuesday.
Fisher Road has been closed from just east of Stringtown Road to the Hillsdale County line ever since a culvert collapsed and the pavement buckled, thanks to last week’s heavy rain and quick snow melt.
Branch County Road Commission Engineer and Manager Trent Arver says crews put in the new culvert and backfilled the area Monday.
At the height of last weeks high water issues, there were nearly 20 reported road closings in Branch County with several reports of wash outs.
The cost of the damage to the county roads has not been figured up yet.
